Sammy was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and has lived in his hometown of Prairieville, LA for all 22 years of his life. He attended Dutchtown High School in Geismar Louisiana; he played lacrosse and football all four years. Sammy was the first player in Louisiana to receive All-District Honors at two different positions.
Sammy is currently attending Louisiana State University, and majoring in biological engineering. He played lacrosse at LSU; he was the goalie for three years. He works part time for a catering company that provides services anywhere from weddings, congressional meetings, as well as feeding LSU athletic teams before games/events.
Sammy decided to officiate lacrosse after his playing days were over with LSU. He wanted to stay involved with the community, and was asked for years to officiate by referees that he developed relationships with.
When Sammy has free time, he really likes to examine the stock market looking for potential investment ideas. He likes to have good times with my friends whether it be from watching sports or playing video games. A couple fun facts about him is that he is left footed but right handed. Also, he is a big fan of 80s R&B music.
