Cedric Gray

Cedric was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. He attended Istrouma Senior High School; graduated in 1993. He attended Southern University and University of Phoenix; studied accounting. He is a lead warehouse receiver for Schneider Paper Products.

Cedric is entering his 3rd season as a lacrosse official. He started officiating 6 years ago as a football and basketball official. Currently, he officiates 4 sports: football, basketball, softball, and lacrosse. He’s going into his 6th season in football and basketball, 4th season of softball, and 3rd season of lacrosse; he has his fair share of officiating different sports. Cedric decided to start officiating when he watched a summer league basketball game, and was recruited to officiate football. He fell in love with it and never stop. He doesn’t have a favorite sport that he officiates; he loves them all.

His hobbies consist of cooking and spending time with his kids. One thing that most people don’t know is that he wanted to be a coach instead of a sports official, but Cedric stated, “they had other plans for me”. Cedric also stated, “I’m not complaining at all; I still get to work with the athletes. I love it when they finish school, and come back later in life to say hey ref I remember when you did my games”.
